LACMA via the stairs
Last Thursday’s hike continued the tradition of shlepping up and down stairs: at Union Station, the Red and Purple metro stations and even in and out (and up and down) the buildings at LACMA. We must have done 400 stairs!
Here’s a slideshow of what we saw and did:
Purifoy was the co-founder of the Watts Towers Art Center.
A highllight of the African Textiles exhibit, Man’s Cloth is an assemblage of Nigerian liquor bottle labels, beaten flat and stitched together with wires.
Visitors are invited to walk into this beautiful installation.
